After his successful salon owning career in Chicago, Derrick headed for Paris France, to pursue his freelance career.
Soon after fulfilling his Parisian dreams, he moved to the bright lights and energy filled New York City.
Derrick has been guided by Braynt Bantry and was represented by Jump Model Management for 7 years.
Derrick currently resides in New York as a Freelance Makeup Artist, Master Stylist and content educator.

I use many different hair mediums, such as Wigs and Braids, Barbie Blowouts, and Invisible Layers Transformation . I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.

I enjoy cosmic yoga in my spare time. Many of my Kriya’s are directly influenced by Ancient Kemetic nature. I love creating with souls with conscious passion in my work.
